It's another Thankful Thursday. Today's reading is taken from the Book of Jeremiah, which reminded me of Israel's prideful heart. Jer 13: Yah illustrated what he thinks of pride and Israel's desire to walk in their imagination of the heart. Jer 13: 7 said that the girdle that Yah instructed Israel to bury was marred, and it was profitable for nothing, and in vs 10, Yah indicated just like the marred girdle, Israel will be as the mar, good for nothing. The stumbling block is the pride in our hearts, and I must say every Sabbath, the fellowship reads the commandments & Eccle 12: 13-14. v. 13 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear Yah and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man." To link what Fearing Yah looks like, consider Prov 8:13, which reads, " The Fear of TMH is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate."
I pray this helps someone, it certainly reminded me of my focus and for that I am thankful. APTTMH!
Shalom
