Natural Hair tips for women of Yasharal: hair growth, retaining length, & fighting off dry hair! 🌱
How to not be frustrated with your fro 💕 (#1 love her and accept where your length is already at, never compare to others. ALL curl patterns are beautiful)
Here is what helped me get to mid back:
1. Keep the scalp clean and moisturized.
-If your scalp is dry: spray it, then grease it down or oil
If your scalp has buildup: go ahead and wash it with clarifying shampoo (cowashing will not help this)
Its important to know how long your hair can go from being washed. Pay attention to what she needs.
2. Always detangle before washing your hair, ends to roots. Make sure all the shed hair is coming out. This prevents single strand knots! You can also dust your ends if necessary ✂️ (not a trim, but examine the ends of your curls..hold it all the way down straight and see if its in the process of being a split end, lightly snip a tiny bit off).
When you go in the shower, more hair will shed but there should be less. It usually gets caught at the end and then there will be knotting. Dont panic! Use a conditioner or lathering shampoo, then finger detangle so your hair doesnt break off. 🤍
Also, shop for pre shampoos or detangling products to make it faster. Remember everyone has different hair density. So it might take longer regardless if your hair is thick..even if you have detangling tools like a tangle teezer. My hair will take atleast an hour since its tightly coiled and i dont want to rush breaking it off.
Important: find a day that you will have TIME, so its not frustrating. I choose Sundays !
3. Deep conditioning under a hooded cap for 15-20 minutes. This changes the game for moisture! Then rinse it out with cool water.
4. Twist or braid your hair down for protective style after apply leave in conditioner. Find something that will seal it in for days or weeks. Definitely focus on your ends. I find Blue Magic Indian hemp grease is the only thing that works for me. Not gel or cream. Do what works for you! Lightly oil your scalp 1-2 times a week. You can wear a headwrap or scarf when going out. I will send a picture below of how my hair stays for the week until i undo the twist. Twists make your hair grow fast!

5. Protein treatments once a month. You need a balance between protein and moisture. Shop for protein mosques that will strengthen your ends. 🌳
I pray this can help someone. We must learn to love the hair YAHUAH gave us. It may seem difficult to manage, but you just need to find the right hair regimen💕. Hair never stops growing, its all about retaining length. And length isn't always important, healthy hair is 💯. It kinda makes sense why in scripture, the women would wear scarves alot😅. Kinky 4c hair is tough sometimes. Our hair doesn't need much manipulation..its like a tree 💛.
